(Studio) In effort to clear up Watergate case, Nixon reelection committee has offered to make deal with Democrats Democrats suing Republicans for headquarters break-in.

(DC) [Democratic national chairperson Robert STRAUSS - says rejects Republican offer of settlement at least until judicial process with regard to case is concluded.] [Republican national chairperson George BUSH - says Nixon administration's positive record can't be obscured by Watergate.] Strauss says Nixon allowing White House aides to testify only because forced to do so by public opinion.
