(Studio) United States gave up space-connected project with regard to atomic energy.

(Jackass Flats, NV) In September, 1969, last atomic rocket engine test fired successfully. Found no use for engine. Dream was space ships with atomic engines. After 17 years $1 1/2 billion spent on useless project. [Project head Wilbur WALKER - believes wasteful to see project results. So many thought program worthwhile.] Desert will probably become nuclear dumping ground.
