(Capitol Hill) [Senate committee chairperson Sam ERVIN - announces postponement. Committee not to jeopardize good from Nixon-Brezhnev talks.] [REPORTER - asks if postponement implies Dean's testimony might override Nixon-Brezhnev talks.] Ervin doesn't concede. [Senator Howard BAKER - says Dean's testimony good or bad not involved in postponing Watergate hearings. Summit mtgs. should have no competition.] White House obviously pleased with announcement.
