(Studio) Communist troops conduct heavy offensive against village 48 mile from Phnom Penh. Insurgent attack heavy, but American bombing to continue till bombing deadline.

(Phnom Penh, Cambodia) American air support heavy. Bombing stalls Communist drive on Phnom Penh and inflicts heavy casualties on insurgent troops. Officials say insurgents give propaganda speeches to villagers to support intended takeover. Supplies down Mekong River may face grave Communist attacks after American bombing ends. Ambassador Emory Swank attends ceremonies turning over transport planes to Cambodia. Mil. supplies from United States increase Officials believe insurgents present in Phnom Penh. Little hope seen for negotiated settlement.
