(Studio) Lloyd McBride has apparently defeated Edward sadlowski in race for pres. of United Steel Workers of America to succeed outgoing president I.W. Abel.
REPORTER: Harry Reasoner

(Chicago, Illinois) McBride talks about victory over Sadlowski. (Interview by Robert Miller.) [McBRIDE - says both Canadian and United States members have rejected Sadlowski.] Sadlowski charges vote fraud and says he'll investigate, particularly in South and Canada. [SADLOWSKI - says neither he nor any of running mates, will concede defeat till investigation of vote totals take place.] Sadlowski promises continued involvement in union and its pols.
