(Studio) Israeli Prime Min. Yitzhak Rabin ends United States trip in NYC. In interview discusses Carter news conference comments with regard to Israel withdrawing to 1967 borders with few adjustments. (Interview shown.)

(NYC) Anchor asks for details of talks with Carter. [RABIN - says goal is peace and only parties involved can really bring it about.] Anchor notes Carter press conference statements. [RABIN - Israel has right to decide own defensible boundaries. Says he didn't know President would make public statement as he did.] Anchor asks if he'd rather President hadn't made statement public. [RABIN - says it's not advisable that he comment on it.] Anchor asks if Rabin feels statement will harm his campaign in Israel. [RABIN - hopes not.] Anchor asks if he returns happier than he arrived. [RABIN - answers yes.]
