(Studio) Lack of federal funds may force hospital to close in Mound Bayou.
REPORTER: John Chancellor

(Mound Bayou, Mississippi) Mound Bayou systematically takes black patients unable to pay bills. Department of Health, Education and Welfare says no more federal money will be appropriated for hospital beyond this month Hospital must close without funds. [Hospital administrator Howard JESSAMY says other hospitals won't take patients from Mound Bayou.] Senator James Eastland asked to use influence to keep hospital going.
