(Studio) At banks interest rate and demand for money continue to climb.
REPORTER: John Chancellor
(DC) Many banks have trouble finding money for loans. [Denver bank Eugene ADAMS - says bank virtually out of money.] [Shelbyville, Tennessee, bank James AUSTIN - says as cost of living rises, allocation for debt payment less.] 25% increase in loan delinquencies noted. Economists urge bankers not to lend money to high risk individuals.
