(Studio) UMW (United Mine Workers of America, International Union) work shutdown ends with rally in Kentucky. Shutdown meant as memorial to miners, and had economy purpose.

(Harlan, Kentucky) 2000 miners and union supporters march through town. Union trying to organization here. President, Arnold Miller, brought militancy to union. [MILLER - says more than 5 days absence to worry about if something not done. Stoppage depletes coal stockpiles.
