(Studio) Report on pardon negotiations.
REPORTER: John Chancellor

(DC) Buchen says pardon granted due to Nixon saying he'd never plead guilty and would fight all the way. Calls that factor in decision, not health. Buchen disclosed memo from Jaworski's office about 10 matters Nixon investigated for. 10 areas listed. Jaworski says nothing proved. 2nd study related to Watergate cover-up. Nixon attorney told full statement from Nixon would help. It admitted no criminal guilt.
