(Studio) Government figures with regard to February employment noted. Carter administration supports House Ways and Means Committee's plan to limit tax rebate recipients. president also supports lower fares for air travel.

(DC) President's message to Congress with regard to air fares cites recent General Accounting Office study re: lack of competition. Present Civil Aeronautics Board regulations with regard to interstate flights noted. Carter supports partial deregulation, as did Gerald Ford. Secretary Trans. Brock Adams says air carriers should be given more freedom of competition. [ADAMS - cites changes deregulation would make.] Pros and cons with regard to deregulation noted; chances appear good for Congress to approve some form this year
