(Madrid, Spain) 30 doctors work to keep Franco alive by maintaining his vital functions with machines. Being kept alive to give hard liners time to unite factions. Establishment worried about reports of Prince Juan Carlos liberalizing regime and restoring democrat Carlos noncommittal. Polls indicate 1/2 people want change. Nobody wants chaos of Portugal.
