(Studio) Report on Lynette Fromme's trial.
REPORTER: John Chancellor
(Sacramento, California) Fromme tells judge that lives will be lost all over US if Charles Manson not allowed to testify for her. Says she would plead guilty if he didn't come. Judge Thomas MacBride orders her removed when she refuses to be quiet. Closed circuit television of trial set up for Fromme who declines to watch. Prosecutor says shortly before assassination attempt on Ford, reporter told Fromme he wouldn't use Manson news release because it wasn't hard news. By trying to kill Ford, she created hard news.
