(Studio) Labor Department announces whsle. prices for February down 0.8%. For past 3 mos. whsle. prices fall 6.2%.

(White House) Decline came mainly in foods; savings should show up in supermarket soon. Despite drops in whsle. food prices, retail prices up 15% from year ago. Prices for industry prdts. and electric rates increase Officials acknowledge prices falling because of nation's growing recession. Treasury Secretary William Simon says cost of living for `75 may go up 6% because of recession.
