(Studio) Conf. of some 70 black mayors ends in LA. Representative of League of Arab States present to discuss possibility of Arab investment in their cities to help end their financial woes.

[Mayor Bennie THOMPSON - says he's had many problems because whites don't want to accept change.] Some of answers to Bolton's problems may lie outside Bolton.

(Grambling, LA) At South conference of black mayors, mayors turn to Arab states. [Black mayors conference Jay COOPER - says Arab cntrys. have much to offer cities with problems.] Right now, mayors willing to go after money wherever they can get it. Mayor Thompson agrees with majority of black mayors about Arab investment benefits.
