Merle Miller wrote best selling Truman book. [MILLER - contrasts Truman and Richard Nixon.] 2 new plays about Truman coming out this year James Whitmore stars in one, "Give `Em Hell, Harry." [WHITMORE - believes Truman's greatest appeal was his honesty.] In Independence, Missouri, Truman library reports unprecedented interest in former President Mrs. Beth Truman still lives in Independence.
