(Studio) United States may be headed for basic and permanent move away from big car.

(Detroit, Michigan) Detroit in middle of revolution - away from luxury auto to utilitarian auto. Revolution caused by inflation, energy shortage, pollution. However, price won't decrease By late 1970's, cars to be as much as 2 foot shorter and 1000 pounds lighter. Film of AMC's Pacer shown. Even Cadillac coming out with smaller version.
