(Studio) Israeli strike force crosses over into Lebanon in raid against Palestinian guerrillas. Israelis end up fighting fiercely with Lebanese army for 14 hrs.

(Tel Aviv, Israel) Lebanese raid by Israelis results in biggest military operation in years 200 Israeli troops in Lebanon before United Nations helps get them out. Rescue unit unable to get Israeli unit on border patrol out of Lebanon; United Nations notifies Beirut that Israel only wants troops out; Israel says entire operation was mistake.
