(Studio) Report on Little trial.
REPORTER: John Hart
(Raleigh, North Carolina) Telephone operator, Nancy Hollis, says she handled 2 long distance calls from Beaufort Cnty. jail by Joan Little on night jailer Clarence Alligood killed. Says calls made about 3 a.m. last August 24. Little has denied making any calls. Defense attorney Jerry Paul accuses Hollis of lying. She says she doesn't intend to start lying now. [Prosecuting attorney John WILKINSON - says due to jury composition, will be hard to get conviction.] Jury 1/2 black and more than 1/2 women.
