(Studio) Democratic leaders meet with President Ford and find compromise with regard to oil prices decontrol.

(DC) Senator Mike Mansfield and Representative Carl Albert at White House Ford confident of sustaining veto of price controls extension. [MANSFIELD - says Ford showed degree of flexibility. He'll have 10 days to veto bill. We'll have time to work out alternate plan.] Mansfield to present several ideas to Democrat caucus. Ford only interested in plan for gradual decontrol in 39 mos. If caucus acts favorably with regard to plan, Ford to allow 1-2 month extension of price controls while long-range plan enacted.
