(Studio) Report on power failure in south Florida, due to short circuit knocking out 3 power plants near Miami.
REPORTER: Harry Reasoner
(Miami, Florida) Failure covered area south from West Palm Beach and Fort Myers to Broward and Dade Cnty. Miami and Fort Lauderdale were blacked out. Problem began at Turkey Point plant at Biscayne Bay; details noted. Effect on area noted. [Florida Power and Light Company president Jack FRANCIS - says there's no way to have 100% guarantee of no power failure at any time.]
