(Lovejoy, Georgia) Carter requested meeting to discuss ways of establishing good relations between Congress and White House [CARTER - pledges to restore harmony between Congress and White House] [Senate majority leader Mike MANSFIELD - says if meeting indicates future relations, then omens are all good.] [House majority leader, Thomas "Tip" O'NEILL - summarizes president-elect's promises and pledges congressional support of them.] First in a series of transition meetings scheduled in next few days. Various meetings to come cited.
