(Middle Bass Island) Winery built in 1862 on Middle Bass Island in Lake Erie; details of production and closing of winery noted. Property sold today incls. mansion called Champagne Castle; President Taft and Harding spent summer vacations here. [MAN - says he came there to drink beer.] [2nd MAN - says he made mistake in buying some wine; thought it was alcoholic.]
