[REAGAN - surprised at Ford's remarks about extremism since Ford tried to persuade him to take cabinet posts.] Ford shown arriving in Keene. [Ford's VOICE - explains why New Hampshire primary important.] Seems as though Ford cast as challenger here; he attacks Reagan views Thursday [REAGAN - says Ford recing. bad staff briefings. Maybe Ford should hear tapes of Reagan's remarks that one of his staff members records.] Ford election committee worker, Jay Pike,tape records Reagan's remarks. New Hampshire television commercials for Ford and Reagan shown. [REAGAN - says not part of Washington, DC establishment.] Will be big setback for Ford if he loses.

(New Hampshire) [Jimmy CARTER - says would be achievement to have government as good as people. Carter fiercely wants to be President Rally shown. Sargent Shriver conducts ineffective campaign; invites comparisons to Kennedy family. Radio commercials for Senator Birch Bayh, Fred Harris and Representative Morris Udall played. Udall given best chance of stopping Carter. [HARRIS - says election is about issues.] (BAYH - asks help for president] UDALL - says had clean campaign in New Hampshire. Will beat Republicans in November] [CARTER - intends to be President] Carter is Democrat version of Reagan; campaigns against DC.
