(Studio) NBC News poll shows Jimmy Carter with 27% lead over Democrats Senator Hubert H. Humphrey has 26%; 11% for George Wallace; 7% for Senator Henry Jackson and 6% for Representative Morris Udall. Carter support has grown from 4% in December `75 to 9% in Jam. `76; 17% in February, and 27% now. If Senator Edward Kennedy ran, 42% would switch to him, 49% would not and 9% not sure. California Governor Edmund G. Brown, Junior, gained surprising name-recognition and support.
