(Studio) Report on trial of West Virginia Governor Arch Moore.
REPORTER: John Chancellor

(Charleston, West Virginia) Moore accused of Promising state banking charter in return for $25,000. Moore is 3rd United States governor to be tried while in office. Moore and ex-campaign manager, William Loy, accused of conspiracy to commit extortion. United States attorney John Field says he'll prove Moore and Loy guilty. Moore attorney, Stanley Preiser, says prosecution witnesses buying their way out of jail. Busman. who says he paid Moore has been convicted of fraud and received lesser sentence due to cooperation with this trial.
