(Studio) Poll shows that less than 1/2 of French feel President Valery Giscard d' Estaing could survive political crisis. Giscard says he won't ease his opposition to Communists Report on students.

(Paris, France) 1968 student uprising paralyzed France. Students and teachers have been on strike for more than month at University Paris. Other University join strike. Students want to stop government plan which would deemphasize liberal arts in favor of courses that favor industrial training. Students appeal to labor unions for support. Giscard says reforms will be put into effect as planned and protesting students risk losing degrees. 3000 students march for reopening of colleges; they are in the minority.
