(Studio) Report on effect of failure to pass day care center bill.
REPORTER: John Chancellor
(Elizabeth, New Jersey) Qualified teachers run pre-school program at day care ctr. Parent pays $37 week or less. Many parents will have to quit jobs if ctr. closed. [WOMAN - says couldn't afford babysitter.] [2nd WOMAN - will probably have to quit job and go on welfare.] [3rd WOMAN - needs 2nd income for home payments.]
