(Studio) Senator Hubert H. Humphrey may seek Democratic presidential nominee if Jimmy Carter doesn't get enough delegates for 1st ballot victory.

(Columbus, Ohio) [CARTER - says Hubert H. Humphrey considered entering race for 1 1/2 years] Carter campaigns in Ohio. [CARTER - says campaign will survive if Hubert H. Humphrey runs. Doesn't think Humphrey's announcement will have impact on voters.] Carter cancels California appearances. He'll concentrate on New Jersey where many uncommitteds support Hubert H. Humphrey. Carter says he'd support Hubert H. Humphrey for president but that Hubert H. Humphrey as candidate would be divisive and hurt Democratic ticket.
