(Studio) Agriculture Department says fall corn crop to be up 14% from 1975 crop. Wheat crop to be 4% below 1975 record crop.

(DC) Farm experts prepare report for release after grain mkts. close for day. Spokesperson says food prices won't rise above 4% and there will be plenty of grain for sales to USSR and West Europe. [Agriculture Department chief economy Don. PAARLBERG - says lack of economy distress calls should be good for incumbents. Will know more about "peanut" crop in November harvest season.] Admin. representatives say all economy statistics will have political implications until November election. They feel crop forecast will help Ford's chances.

(DeKalb, Illinois) Corn crop looks better than average in north Illinois. [Warmer Joseph FAIVRE - says good corn crop will make prices go down.] Consumers will benefit if there is record corn harvest.
