(Studio) In last 5 years, FBI has tapped 16 times as many telephones (without warrants) as it has admitted.

(DC) In last 5 years, FBI conducted 1600 warrantless wire taps. White House and Justice Department fight effort by House Commerce Oversight Committee to obtain American Telephone and Telegraph (AT&T) documents. Subcommittee chairperson John Moss wants to know who was tapped. Justice Department attorney, Rex Lee, said disclosure would hurt national security.
