(Studio) Movement at convention underway to dump Schweiker if Reagan wins; and to dump any liberal chosen by Ford, if Ford wins. North Carolina Senator Jesse Helms working on movement.

(Kansas City) Helms actions at convention noted. Wants conservative move to name Vice President nominee. [HELMS - says convention ought to be free to nomination Vice President of its choice.] Helms' ideas with regard to Schweiker and possible Ford liberal Vice President choice noted. Helms denies he wants to split party [HELMS - foresees his support of ticket.] Helms' links with Reagan noted.
