(Kansas City, Missouri) Scenes of 1972 Republican convention shown. Representative Gerald Ford permanent chairperson, former California Governor Ronald Reagan, temporary chairperson; Reagan, talks about Nixon. [REAGAN - quotes statement favorable to Nixon from for. leader] New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller nominated Nixon. [ROCKEFELLER - says Nixon needed.] President Nixon talks about Vice President Spiro Agnew in acceptance speech. [NIXON - says Agnew best for job.] Nixon also asks for new major to help him in work for world peace. [NIXON - asks all to join new major not by party label but feeling in heart.] Ghosts of Nixon and Agnew may haunt 1976 Republican convention and election to come.
