[FORD - says American people to see party can resolve differences and compromise even after fierce competition.] National chairwoman Mary Louise Smith unanimously elected to another term as chairwoman Expected effort to elect New York state chairperson Richard Rosenbaum didn't materialize. Delegates leave city; 1 state chairperson says time will heal wounds, but may not be that much time before November election
