(Studio) Democratic Vice Presidential choice Senator Walter Mondale speaks to big city politicians and labor people.

(Harrisburg, Pennsylvania) Mondale visits Chicago Mayor Richard Daley in 1st stop on long campaign swing. Talks about big city problems. (Film shown.) [MONDALE - says Republican administration and Dole have records of ignoring problems of big cities.] At labor meeting in Pennsylvania, Mondale speaks with regard to full employment. [MONDALE - says full employment not radical and revolutionary. Says American can't afford Ford-Dole ticket, which isn't in mainstream of American life.] Mondale's role in campaign is to hit Republicans on issues; predicts election will be close.
