(Studio) Little movement in UAW (United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America) strike against Ford Motors; wages not real issue.

(Detroit, Michigan) Registration for strike fund payment noted; workers asked with regard to gains from strike. [MAN - says he wants more benefits, shorter work wk.] [2nd MAN - says retirement benefits should be better.] [3rd MAN - says he wants better wages.] Main issues in negotiations for contract noted. Some union officials say bigger pay and benefits for auto workers may cause lack of public sympathy and make it harder for union to get demands.
