(Studio) Senator filibuster by opponents of natural gas price deregulation seems just about over. Senators James Abourezk and Howard Metzenbaum call it off after Carter administration takes sides against them.

(DC) Details of steps taken by Senate leadership to end filibuster noted; remarks by majority leader Robert Byrd, Vice President Mondale, and Senators Russell Long and Abourezk cited. abourezk says President Carter is one who put stop to filibuster.
