(Studio) Clash between police and pickets, in front of small film processing plant in London, causes prime Min. James Callaghan to call on nation for calm. Clash is incident in 10 month long struggle of Grunwick Company workers for union recognition; issue has drawn battle lines between left and right.

(London, England) Details of strike, support from other union workers and growing clashes with police noted. Original issue of union recognition has faded as issues of law and order and union picketing rights becomes bigger. Battle has gone to House of Commons, to be fought along political party lines.
