(Studio) Teamsters Central States Pension Fund official says fund not sound but plans underway to make it so. Official testifies to House Ways and Means Committee

(DC) Fund administration Dan. Shannon promises to correct problem with fund's monies, but dissident Teamsters have said fund will go broke and many say more than union president Frank Fitzsimmons' resignation from fund needed to straighten it out. [Teamster Larry MUELLER - says Fitzsimmons will still run it from background and needs to be completely out.] [Teamster Stanley FLOWERS - doesn't see why Fitzsimmons will relinquish power of pension fund money.] At union convention last June, Fitzsimmons made views on fed. probe known. (Film shown.) [FITZSIMMONS - doesn't think it's needed.] Federal investigators on case say it will be some time before fund really cleaned up.
