(Studio) 1 man prefers life in prison to that outside.
REPORTER: John Chancellor

(Sandstone, Minnesota) Arthur Meunier went to jail at age 11 in Canada and has spent 41 of 52 years in prison. In 1st sentence, decided he liked it and in future would either commit another crime or threaten to if authorities freed or said they would free him; has been in Sandstone Prison in Minnesota. [MEUNIER - cites experiences in 1st jail sentences. Says only time he got accepted and wanted was in jail.] Has now decided to leave jail and try for job with agency cnsling. young prisoners. [MEUNIER - feels as if he's being kicked out of home.] Has never become United States citizen, so is deported to Canada on most frightening day of life - getting out of jail.
