(Studio) President Carter announces revised program with regard to original scrap list of water projects. 18 to be dropped, rest to be continued or modified; actual program is up to Congress Central Arizona project fits into latter category.

(Phoenix, Arizona) 1st water project, of type challenged by President, was Salt R. project in Arizona. Central Arizona project deals with Colorado River Controversy re: project and Carter's modification of plans noted. Modification satisfies both sides of controversy.
