(Studio) Heat wave ends as cool air reaches E. coast. Though government says US will have biggest corn crop ever, Iowa crop damaged by heat wave.

(Nevada, Iowa) L.B. Dooley of Nevada, Iowa, has had to chop corn up and leave it in field due to lack of growth from dry weather. [DOOLEY - notes extent of damage. Says they'll make it, but would hate to see bad year next year] [Iowa agriculture secretary Bob LOUNSBERRY - cites extent of drought's effects in state.] May be worst year in last 10 for Iowa corn crop, despite Agriculture Department's predictions for nation's crop.
