(Studio) Death of singer-actress Ethel Waters, in Los Angeles, noted.

(No location given) (Photos of Waters, courtesy World Wide Pictures, scenes from some of her films and parts of some of her recordings shown and played.) Waters career noted. 3 of her films were "Cabin in the Sky, Member of the Wedding" and Pinky,the latter for which she won Academy Award nomination. [sic.] In later years Waters stopped singing "Stormy Weather", saying she'd found Jesus and life was calm. She sang for evangelist audiences.
