(Studio) Senate subcommittee hearing on alleged violations of laws governing drug experiments involving humans reported.

(DC) Testimony in hearing about experiments carried out on newborn babies at Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital detailed. [U. of Miami Med. School spokesperson Dr. Eduardo BANCALARI - says mothers understood required forms they had to sign before experiments could be carried out.] [Senator Edward KENNEDY - asks drug company representative about concern that consent forms signed while mothers in labor.] [Endo Labs. spokesperson Dr. Ralph JACOBSEN - notes consents signed at same time as other general consents obtained and that mothers usual not admitted to hospital unless in labor.] Details of other testimony with regard to human experimentation given.
