(Studio) Cyrus Vance and David Owen talks with black and white Rhodesian leaders reported Little progress said made toward conference of all interested elements.

(Salisbury, Rhodesia) Vance arrival filmed. United States said never to have recognized Rhodesia as country Demonstrations opposed to including guerrilla forces noted, filmed. Vance stance with regard to inclusion of guerrilla forces stated. Rhodesian argument to contrary noted. Ian Smith quoted with regard to meeting with guerrillas. Effort said made to stop fighting in south Africa before Cubans and USSR get involved. United States said unable to cope with these elements.
