Pressure by Jones' attorney Albert Johnson and resulting police release of Jones detailed. [Police chief Daryl GATES - cites lack of supportive evidence for Shamshak's statements.] [JOHNSON - says he and client will cooperate completely with investigation.] Shamshak still in custody.
