Abundance of oil in California due to incrd. land and offshore drilling in that state, according to SOHIO, reported [SOHIO Vice President R. M. DONALDSON - cites effect of Arab oil embargo in 1973 on belief that California could absorb most of Alaska oil.] Donaldson's call for pipeline through California, Arizona and NM, ending in Midland, Texas, cited. State's halt to more refineries, fearing further air pollution in Los Angeles, noted.
