(DC) Higher cost of flight insurance from Los Angeles to New York City than from New York City to Los Angeles noted; New York state's crackdown on flight insurance costs reported [Representative Benjamin ROSENTHAL - says consumer gets bad deal in excessive flight insurance rates.] Details of flight insurance sales given; example cited is that of Mutual of Omaha. [Mutual spokesperson James BARRETT - says Congman.'s claims that travel insurance is 7-8 times more than other kinds is ridiculous.] Upcoming congress hearings noted.
