(Crystal Bay, NV) Leading to present state border dispute was book "Chaining the Land: The History of Land Surveying in California"; details of border dispute, which has gone to Supreme Court, given. Uncertain fates of land grants, taxes and gambling noted; situation of Crystal Bay, NV, given as example Border noted as running through Lake Tahoe at one point. [Author Bud USSES - knew that he'd discovered something major, but had no idea how it would unfold. Still doesn't know completely.] Supreme Court's order to NV judge to come up with solution noted. Cal-Neva Lodge at border mentioned.
