(Studio) Update on Memphis police strike, where police refuse to obey back-to-work order.
REPORTER: Jess Marlow

(Memphis, Tennessee) Police defiance of union president David Baker and executive board in refusal to obey court order reported [BAKER - asks men to return to work.] [Rival organizer Chris COCHRAN - says they'll have to be arrested by Memphis police and that if National Guard tries, there will be war.] Mayor Wyeth Chandler's television appearance noted; his threat to fire all strikers stated. [CHANDLER - says those who enforce law must obey it.] Memphis firemen's threat to join police in striking also reported.
